Workskil Australia is seeking participants for a 23 week Green Army project to protect and enhance high biodiversity value remnant vegetation in the Tatiara Council District of South Australia.
Workskil Australia’s Green Army Supervisor will lead a team of nine Green Army participants and work collaboratively with the Tatiara District Council to undertake a wide range of practical and educational environmental activities that will develop skills in environmental management and related fields, while supporting local communities.
Activities undertaken will include revegetation, weed treatment, debris removal, pest management, seed collection, erosion management and surveying.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake accredited training modules and work towards the completion of a Certificate II in Conservation & Land Management. Significant training will also be provided to participants in WH&S. Training will run for one day per week.
This project is due to commence in September 2016 and will run for a period of 23 weeks.
We welcome applicants who identify as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander or have a disability.

Participant description and criteria:
- Between 17-24 years of age
- Australian citizen
- Willing to undergo a criminal history check and for this to have been lodged
- Interest or commitment to environmental issues (desired)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to physically undertake the aforementioned activities consistently
- Reliable and prompt
- Committed and willing to learn
