Workskil Australia sponsors Women's AFL

A new partnership for Workskil Australia and the Adelaide Football Club Women's AFL Team.

Workskil Australia is excited to announce a new one year arrangement as a major sponsor of the new Crows Women’s AFL Team who kick off their inaugural season in February 2017. Co-major sponsors Harris Scarfe were announced earlier this month.

Adelaide is among eight clubs to have a women’s AFL line-up with Carlton, Collingwood, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney also competing.

Workskil Australia CEO Nicole Dwyer said this is a great fit for Workskil Australia as the women’s league has a strong focus on youth, Indigenous and women.

“This is a great opportunity for us to work together with the Crows Women’s AFL Team in inspiring others and supporting our clients with a great focus on the women, youth and Indigenous within our community. We see this partnership as helping to drive awareness of our services to assist Workskil Australia to find employment opportunities for our clients”.

This is the first time in Workskil Australia’s history that the organisation has undertaken major sports sponsorship. Workskil Australia’s distinctive logo will be featured on the women’s AFL team guernsey as well as other team apparel.

Adelaide Football Club Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan said the Club was delighted to be welcoming another new partner in Workskil Australia.

“We’re extremely proud that our women’s team has the support of a successful and established SA born organisation,” Fagan said.

“Workskil Australia has a strong focus on assisting youth, women and Indigenous people in the community and therefore it’s a great fit for the Club and the national women’s league.

"It is exciting to have two new partners, neither of which have previously undertaken sports sponsorships, join our Club to support our women’s team.

“We see this as a great endorsement of the Club’s genuine commitment to supporting women and girls who want to be involved in football.

“It also shows great foresight by Workskil Australia and Harris Scarfe who are keen to be part of an exciting new era in Australian sport.”
