Helping prisoners get ready for a new life

Work Ready, Release Ready (WRRR) is a South Australian Government program delivered by Workskil Australia. So far, more than 80 prisoners have been officially inducted into the program. We are supporting participants approaching pre-release to improve their job seeking and interview skills and are also assisting them in preparing for release, with support identifying suitable housing, transport and other services.

CEO Department of Correctional Services (SA), David Brown, recently said “Workskil Australia are doing a fantastic job in delivering WRRR and contributing towards meeting the 10by20 target to reduce reoffending 10% by the year 2020”.

To back this up, we have received a lovely letter from a client addressed to Rose, WRRR Mentor, speaking about how she and the team have changed his life:

“The time and advice from your company has been invaluable and especially Rose with her positive approach and guidance in going forward with my life. Since this time I am employed and working 50 hours a week which I really enjoy and things can only go forward from here. I have found that any support I have needed has always been there without hesitation and this programme for prisoners being released from prison can only be beneficial to the families and the community.”

We’re so proud of our WRRR team and the clients whose lives they are changing!
