Get Moving

Get Moving is a relocation employment program for 18-24 year olds 

It gives young people the opportunity and support to move into a long-term job in an area with a more promising job market.

What can I get from Get Moving?

A Get Moving mentor will support you from the start of your job search, throughout your move and for up to a year afterwards to ensure the whole process goes smoothly.

Your Get Moving mentor will help with:

• Finding full-time employment and assistance with training and apprenticeships
• Sourcing accommodation and new social networks
• Ongoing mentoring before, during and after the move
• Where possible, moving you with a friend or family member

Can I Get Moving?

If you're aged between 18-24 and are currently receiving a Centrelink income support payment OR are currently unemployed and not in education or training, it could be for you.

You also have to be living in one of these locations to be eligible for the program:

• Adelaide West, Adelaide North and North West Country (Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln), SA
• Hunter (excluding Newcastle), NSW
• North Western Melbourne, VIC
• Barwon (Corio, Geelong and Waurn Ponds), VIC
• Geraldton, WA
