Ifraan, a recent law graduate, turned his passion for helping others into a fulfilling career as a Specialist Employment Mentor at Workskil Australia.
With a Bachelor of Law degree and Practical Legal Training under his belt, Ifraan channelled his expertise towards helping those in need.
Workskil Australia’s values of care, integrity, respect, honesty, and service enticed the graduate to attend an open-door job interview at our Coburg office.
“Despite being a job interview, I could tell that Workskil Australia was a team orientated and customer-focused organisation,” Ifraan said.
Ifraan met with the Coburg manager and Workskil Australia’s Victorian state manager, who were impressed by his background, interest and enthusiasm for the job and hired him as an Employment Coach.
“The onboarding process was prompt, extremely efficient and included mentoring, training, and constant support.”
Workskil Australia saw his potential, and within five months, Ifraan was offered a Specialist Employment Mentor role, where he now supports First Nations customers within the Inner Melbourne Metro Region.
He works face-to-face with customers, supporting them in overcoming personal barriers and finding and keeping long term employment.
“Each day is different,” he said.
“Assisting customers on their journey to gain long-term sustainable employment is riveting.”
In return for his service, Ifraan receives a competitive salary and benefits from salary packaging to increase his take home pay while working a nine-day fortnight and retaining all the benefits of a full-time employee.
