Sparks are flying for Kara’s career
A big congratulations to one of our customers, Kara, who is creating sparks at her new job as a trainee in Demolition and Construction at McMahon Services. Kara moved to Adelaide from regional Australia with limited work history in hospitality but was really keen to try something more hands on. After being introduced to Workskil Australia’s National Indigenous Account Manager, she was supported to attend an information session with Renewal SA’s Works Program for a work experience and traineeship opportunity with McMahon Services.
With the help and support of her Workskil Youth Job Coach, Kara successfully progressed through various stages of the process including work experience placement, literacy and numeracy test, medical testing and a formal interview. Workskil was able to help Kara through each stage, even setting up a mock interview to help her practice. We were so thrilled when Kara found out she was successful with her application, and honoured to be able to assist her through this journey in making her dreams a reality. Thank you for proving that it just takes a small spark to light the fire of your career!
