Wellbeing Day

Our full-time staff only have to work for 9 days each fortnight to receive a dedicated Wellbeing Day off. This can be taken as one whole day or two half days per fortnight on a fixed roster. Whether you take the full day or two half days, this will mean that as a full-time staff member you will work an average of 72 hours each fortnight whilst continuing to be paid as a full-time employee and accruing all benefits, including leave, on this basis

Salary Packaging

As a not-for-profit and charitable organisation, our employees are able to access Salary Packaging, meaning you get a portion of your salary tax free. Depending on your income level and how much you choose to package, you have the potential to save thousands each year.

When you salary package you also receive the additional benefit of extra superannuation contributions above what is required. The law requires us to pay superannuation calculated by reference to your taxable salary, so that means your salary after salary sacrificing. Workskil Australia calculates the superannuation paid by reference to employee full base salary, so that means a benefit of $1,510 per annum when you fully utilise the salary packaging cap. 

Loyalty Leave

Since part-time staff do not receive the benefit of the Wellbeing Day, Workskil Australia rewards employees whose substantive roles are part-time with an additional leave benefit: paid Loyalty Leave. Loyalty Leave means that part-time staff accrue one extra week’s leave (pro rata) after they have been in continuous service with Workskil Australia for three years, on top of Annual Leave
