Disability Employment Services includes free dedicated support for job seekers who face additional challenges entering the workforce. We can adapt the support to meet the varying needs of those living with a disability, an injury or a health condition.

About Disability Employment Services

Workskil Australia will pair you with a dedicated Employment Coach who works to identify your goals and provides suitable options for addressing the barriers keeping you from a job. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so we will tailor a path that’s right for you.

We're empowering individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to achieve their goal of finding and keeping suitable long-term employment.

How we can help

Our Disability Employment Services include a wide range of supports that help you prepare for work and continue to thrive on the job. Your Employment Coach will focus on relevant areas and can assist with the following:

Mentoring and Support

Build your work capacity to re-enter the workforce

Health and Wellbeing

Access counselling and referrals to community services

Finding a Job

Find and keep a job that suits your interests and abilities

Skills and Qualifications

Increase skills and gain qualifications or work licenses

Pathway to Education

Find and apply for training or courses that align with your goals

Resume and Cover Letter

Draw attention with a professional resume and cover letter

Job Interviews

Build confidence and prepare for job interviews

Financial Support

Purchase work-specific clothing, materials and cover transport costs

Employer Relations

We can meet with employers and advocate on your behalf


People living with disability or permanent health conditions are eligible for the Disability Employment Service program.

Individuals experiencing short-term injuries and mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression, can also be considered suitable candidates.

Participants in Disability Employment Services will meet these criteria:

  • Are living with a disability, illness or injury that affects your ability to work
  • Are an Australian resident between 14 years and pension age
  • Are receiving income payments from Services Australia – Centrelink
  • Are willing to work between 8 and 30 hours per week
