Inclusive Pathways to Employment

Inclusive Pathways to Employment helps bridge the gap between school and employment for neurodivergent young people and those living with disability. This program works to ensure you can access the same opportunities as your peers.

About Inclusive Pathways to Employment

If you're between the ages of 15 and 24, you can access free dedicated support to explore interests and goals, build social connections within the community and improve the likelihood of finding a job.

Inclusive Pathways to Employment (IPE) is an evidence-informed pilot program focused on finding ways to better support young people living with disability in transitioning from school to meaningful work.

Through guidance and support, we provide an accessible and collaborative approach to job searching or tertiary education adapted to your circumstances. We will ensure you and your support network are set up to benefit from the same opportunities as all school leavers.

IPE is operated in partnership with and funded by the Brotherhood of St. Laurence.

Objective and Outcomes

The objective of the IPE model is to determine what it takes for mainstream youth employment services, such as Transition to Work, to support young people living with a disability.

Inclusive Pathways to Employment deploys advanced thinking practices, case management and collaboration between the young person, their support network, school and employment services.

Workskil Australia works with young people to identify and pursue interests, aspirations, and goals and become socially and economically included in their local community regardless of their neurodivergence, disability, or individual challenges.

Outcomes and learnings from the pilot will be utilised to inform key policymakers and settings and to ensure that public services implement or maintain suitable measures that support all young people.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence instigated IPE, which is being trialled in select regions across Australia. Workskil Australia is responsible for piloting IPE in the north of Adelaide.
